About Us

Heidi & Wildflower

Hebden Bridge Burlesque Festival is the lovechild of Burlesque Performers, Lady Wildflower and Heidi Bang Tidy. Together they have over fifteen year's experience of staging live events and burlesque shows. They have built a reputation for staging spectacular events across the North of England, with recent productions including The Green Eggs and Glam Burlesque Revue at The Dancehouse Theatre in Manchester and Champagne and Showgirls which has toured venues for the past 2 years. They also run the Hebden Bridge branch of Dr Skethcy's Anti Art School.

Lady Wildflower is the brains behind the very successful (and always sold out) Frou Frou Club in Hebden Bridge, Todmorden Ramsbottom (no giggling - that IS a real place) and Grimsby. Her burlesque performances combine sharp choreography and high-end glamour with an alternative edge. Lady Wildflower is also a model and burlesque tutor, running classes in Manchester, Leeds and The Calder Valley. Visit Lady Wildflower's website HERE

Heidi Bang Tidy's Bang Tidy Burlesque Show has been a hit with audiences across Yorkshire over the last 3 years. Heidi's solo comedy burlesque performances celebrate British Eccentricity with routines inspired by Budgies and Lollipop Ladies. She performs in a comedy double act, TIDY AND TIPS, with Crystal Tips and is a sought after Burlesque and Cabaret Compere who is guaranteed to use the word "vagina" at least once during every show.

2017 marks the fifth year of Hebden Bridge Burlesque Festival. What started as relatively small 2 day event has grown to be one of the biggest events of it's kind in Europe. If you are looking for a healthy portion of fabulous, featuring some of the best performers from the world of Burlesque and Alternative Cabaret, served up with a great big dollop of Yorkshire hospitality, then Hebden Bridge Burlesque Festival is the place to be.

HISTORY

The inaugural (that means first ever, apparently!) Hebden Bridge Burlesque Festival took place over the weekend of 3,4 and 5 May 2013. Following the Festival we had a spot of trouble with the local council. It's all sorted now but you can read all about it HERE if you like.
