Tricity Vogue is a cabaret performer, singer-songwriter and ukulele player with a passion for vintage styling and modern sensibilities in equal measure – and she enjoys the frisson she gets from putting those two things together. She's been a part of the burlesque scene since she started singing at London burlesque club Volupté back in 2007, and has been bringing her saucy original songs to burlesque, cabaret and variety show line-ups all over the UK and Europe ever since.
Last year's Hebden Bridge Burlesque Festival saw her lead her foot-stomping All Girl Swing Band in a riotous gig with catchy tunes and a tap-dancing penguin in the Little Theatre. This year she's delighted to return to the same lovely venue as part of the line-up of Naked Girls Reading – and not just because it will be nice to sit down, and be a bit cooler under those hot stage lights.
Tricity is also a writer, and has co-authored a musical with composer Richard Link. “Heels Of Glory: The Drag Action Musical” will be part of the 2016 Pride In London Festival and runs for three weeks in June at Chelsea Theatre. The all-star cast includes HBBF 2016 performer Kiki Lovechild.
Tricity has just published her first book, co-authored with Hebden Bridge Burlesque Festival's official photographer, James Millar. "Dinner At The Circus: A Month In France Under The Big Top" is a photographic diary of her adventures with a French circus troupe in 2014.
TRICITY will be joining the cast of NAKED GIRLS READING on Saturday 30 April.
